We’re open now, three days a week. It’s a real treat, I have to say. Sunday’s opening hours follow on from church and we have the most wonderful conversations with people having so much more time to gather. The art works are attracting people and starting off such fab theological conversations. The point really. Wednesdays is a gentle gathering of people at lunch or attracted in by the signage. Thursday’s opening hours coincide and follow from the weekly organ recital and we have had such good conversations as a result.
Below is my view from my seat during opening hours, capturing the way out to the tram stop. Yes, the very tram stop which made us see St Michael’s in the first place. The other pictures are the prints/sales table and then the signage guest table. We love sitting here celebrating this place and the wonder of exhibiting here.
There has been a good amount of interest in The Torch and we are delighted that we have sold enough in just over a week to contribute over $600 so far. I can’t tell you how thrilled we are.
